AI Search discount and coupon page checklist for small businesses

Use this worksheet before publishing coupon, promo-code, seasonal offer, or discount pages that answer engines may quote. It helps keep offer terms, dates, exclusions, and review owners clear so AI tools do not repeat expired discounts or unsupported savings claims.

Run the AI search visibility audit

Discount pages can create accidental AI-search risk because stale offer snippets often stay online after the promotion ends. If a page says “save 20% this week” without dates, exclusions, and review status, an answer engine may quote the discount later as if it is still active.

The goal is not to stuff coupon keywords. The goal is to make the live offer truthful, easy to verify, and easy to retire or update when the promotion changes.

STOP PUBLISHING: do not publish or update a discount/coupon page until a human owner verifies dates, eligible services, exclusions, code text, savings math, legal/policy limits, and expiration wording.
