Why financing pages need source-of-truth controls
Financing language is a trust and compliance risk. A stale third-party financing link, an unapproved monthly-payment example, or a vague “easy approval” claim can turn into customer confusion, unsupported sales promises, and AI-search snippets that quote terms the business cannot honor.
Financing source-of-truth card
| Field | What to capture | Human review rule |
|---|---|---|
| Approved financing provider/link | Official application URL, phone number, branch, or in-office process. | Use only the current approved source; never paste card/bank details into AI. |
| Eligibility wording | Who may apply, credit-check notes, location limits, job-type limits, or minimum project size. | Do not imply approval, rates, terms, or availability without provider-approved wording. |
| Payment example | Approved sample amount, term, APR/rate disclosure, and date reviewed. | Remove examples if the provider does not supply approved disclosure text. |
| Customer handoff owner | Who answers financing questions and when the customer should contact the provider directly. | Route affordability, credit, denial, legal, tax, and dispute questions to the approved owner/provider. |
| Quote-to-financing connection | Estimate number, approved scope, deposit rule, scheduling dependency, and expiration date. | Do not change quoted scope, price, deposit, or schedule based on AI suggestions. |
| Review cadence | Monthly/quarterly owner check, provider renewal date, broken-link check, and page owner. | Mark stale pages for review before campaigns, seasonal pushes, or quote follow-ups. |
